God in the Old and New Testament

Priscilla Shirer at IMPACT 2006.

"In Genesis he is the breath of life, In Exodus he's the Passover Lamb,
In Leviticus he is our high priest, In Numbers he's the fire by night,
In Deuteronomy he's Israel's Guide, In Joshua he's salvation choice,
In Judges he's the kinsman Redeemer, In Samuel he's the Trusted Prophet,
In Kings and Chronicles he's Sovereign, In Ezra he's our true and faithful Scribe,
In Nehemiah he's the Rebuilder of Walls, In Esther he is our Courage,
In Job he's our timeless redeemer, In Psalms he's Our Morning Song,
In Proverbs he's our Wisdom, In Ecclesiastes he's our time and Season,
In Song of Solomon he's the Lover's Dream, Isaiah he's our Prince of Peace,
In Jeremiah he's our Weeping Prophet, In Lamentation the cry for Israel,
In Ezekiel he's the call from Sin, In Daniel he's the stranger in the Fire,
In Hosea he's forever faithful, In Joel he's the spirits Power,
In Amos strong arms that carry, In Obadiah he's the lord our savior,
In Jonah the great missionary, In Micah the promise of peace,
In Nahum he's our strength and shield, In Habakkuk and Zephaniah he brings revival,
In Haggai he restores that which was lost, Zechariah he is our Fountain,
And in Malachi he is the son of Righteousness rising with Healing in His Wings.

AND THAT IS JUST THE OLD TESTAMENT! If you are excited about what the Old Testament teaches us. Then you listen to me, if you are excited about that the Old Testament is not even as good to us as the New Testament.

Because in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, he is not just our God he is our Messiah!
In the spirit filled book of Acts He's the Raining Fire from Heaven.
In Romans He's the Grace of God.
In Corinthians He's the Power of Love.
In Galatians he's Freedom from the Curse of Sin.
In Ephesians He's our Glorious treasure.
In Phillipians He's the servant heart.
In Colossians He's God in the Trinity.
In Thessalonians he's our calling King.
In Timothy, Titus, and Philemon he's our mediator and our faithful Pastor.
In Hebrews He's the Everlasting Courage.
In James he's the one who can heal you when you're sick.
In 1st and 2nd Peter our faithful Shepard's.
In John and Jude he's the lover coming for his bride. . . .
And in Revelation . . . in the very end. . . when it's all over said and done. . .
He will be the first and the last! The beginning and the end! The Alpha and the Omega! The Keeper of all Creation! He is Everything you need. EVERYTHING! And a God that greatly moved Heaven and Earth to get to you!!"
